What your blood says about your training.
CK and recovery
After a heavy session CK is released from your muscles. Measured at rest it says whether your muscles get back to zero between sessions.
Testosterone, SHBG and free testosterone
The hormones behind muscle growth and strength. The number alone says little, with SHBG and albumin it becomes readable.
Liver and kidneys
A lot of protein, creatine and supplements load the liver and kidneys. ALAT, creatinine and eGFR show whether that stays within the margin.
Strength test
Eleven values for people who train heavy. CK for recovery, creatinine and eGFR for your kidneys, ALAT for your liver, CRP, vitamin D and the hormones behind muscle growth. Women get testosterone, SHBG and oestradiol.
